Jamb 2019 Registration Deadline And The Real Exam Date

“JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede said at stakeholders meeting for CBT Centre operators and others at the University of Lagos on Thursday that the sale of e-PINs for the examination would last for six weeks.

From January 10th to February 21st is exactly six weeks.

To avoid the  difficulties associated with the registration process, prospective candidates can follow the simple steps outlined below:

  1. Candidate sends “Surname FirstName MiddleName” to short code “55019”.
  2. A text is sent to the candidate acknowledging receipt of the request.
  3. A code is sent to the candidate via SMS.
  4. Candidate takes code to the bank to obtain epin. You can also get epin via quickteller.
  5. Finally, take your epin to any approved Jamb registration centre to complete your Jamb 2019 registration.

Oloyede had initially announced January 3rd as the commencement date for the sale of forms but changed it to January 10th 2018 following an appeal by the CBT operators for more time to complete their online network test.

The centres were only given seven days from today to complete the test that would ensure all their computers were in shape and could communicate with the JAMB control room in Abuja. However, it was extended after the CBT operators appealed.
Oloyede said the registration for the examination would be done only by 718 accredited CBT centres spread across the country.
He said a number of features had been introduced to ensure candidates had more control over their details that they shared with the board for the registration.
The JAMB Registrar thanked the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for carrying the board along regarding the election timetable.
